Our Mission
Raising funds for research to find a cure and to improve the lives of the many affected by breast cancer.

$41.7 MILLION IN CONTRIBUTIONS

donated so far to support critical advancements in breast cancer research.

Vera Bradley Co-founders Barbara Bradley Baekgaard and Patricia R. Miller began raising funds for breast cancer research in 1993 after the loss of their dear friend, Mary Sloan. Since then, their genuine commitment to this cause has evolved into the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. Together with our donors, event participants and volunteers, we hope for a future free from breast cancer.

Our researchers at the Vera Bradley Foundation Center for Breast Cancer Research at the Indiana University School of Medicine collaborate and lead clinical trials with researchers nationwide.

Our researchers are focused on developing and dramatically improving therapies for some of the most difficult-to-treat types of breast cancer, including triple negative breast cancer. Monogrammed Medicine — precision medicine research funded by Vera Bradley Foundation — is leading to promising discoveries in the areas of diagnosis, treatment and prevention.

Through the efforts of our esteemed research team, we honor the legacy of all who have braved the disease by pushing the boundaries of modern medicine to spread hope and find a cure.

Vera Bradley Foundation support is like a million smiles and a million hugs when patients, families and caregivers need them most.
